please help amp subs or amp keeps cutting off very weird worked before ?
ok i have a 2006 chrysler sebring alternator 120amp yellow top battery inline fuse 150amp 4gauge power wire 4 gauge ground i have 2 12inch rockford fosgate p3dvc 4ohm wired at 1 ohm and yes they r wired right i have them to this amp wired to 1ohm http://www.hifiaudioonline.com/inc/sdetail/7080
ok before it was wired to a rockford 840.2 amp with no problem since a changed amps and rewired my subs when i turn it up to like 5-6 the amp stays on and subs stop hitting then it turn back on amp stays on and does not go into protect or nothing not even hot still cool so what could it be i have the ground underneath my back seat to a large bolt from the belt buckle to the body and yes scraped away paint to bare metal so im very confused thanks
also have a 1frag rockford fosgate cap digital and with car running in reads like between drops from 131/2 to 14-15 volts so thats ok

Your amp could be going into a thermal protection mode. I would try upping the ohm back to a 2 or 4ohm load for testing purposes. See how the amp responds if it works find like that. Could be that you have a weak amp thats not truly 1ohm stable. Another possibily is that your voice coils in the subs are starting to fail. When they heat up you are getting an ohm drop at certain frequencies. While speakers may be labeled as a "2 or 4ohm" speaker they actually will read differently at different frequency levels. And will fail intermitantly if they are starting to go bad.
